Causeway Pictures, producers of Hostage to the Devil, are currently developing a project on 'Demonic Oppression'. Demonic oppression occurs at the infestation stage of a possession and is how a "demon" initially gets into a human host. During the oppression stage a person may hear voices, bangings or have things happen around their home. It may partially take control of them sometimes, making them talk in a different voice etc. Also the demon can torment them by hurting them..pysically ie. scratches or cuts.
